Magic’s Child is the third book in the Magic or Madness trilogy. Reason has gone from trying to understand that her life has been shortened every time she used magic, to being given so much magic that she can do anything she wants and live for centuries. The only downside is that this magic seems to be eating away her humanity. When Reason struggles to cope with everything happening around her, she starts to lose herself in the painless world of magic. Now Reason doesn’t have to choose between magic or madness. She has to choose between her humanity and a world where she won’t feel pain any longer.
This book picks up where the second left off, and it continues to explore each character as they make their own choices. Personally, I didn’t find this book a gripping page-turner; but it does explore a unique view of magic, with a plot that doesn’t resemble any other books with magic plots.
