Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone

Harry Potter, the boy who lived. Not that Harry knows he is called that. All his life he has just been regular old Harry, the nuisance. But all of that changes one day when he receives a letter, which he is not allowed to read, then another, and another. Soon these letters are coming out of the chimney and through the cracks in the door. After this, Harry’s Uncle Vernon forces him, his aunt Petunia, and his cousin Dudley to move in order to get away from the letters. This leads to Harry's introduction to a large and mysterious man. This man tells him something that blows young Harry's mind: Harry Potter is a wizard.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone is witty and fun. The story follows Harry and his friends, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley, through as they learn magic and build connections in a fantastical world. All of the characters have reasons for why they act the way they do and it is not always obvious. This makes the characters seem deeper and more realistic. The book is suitable and enjoyable for all ages, from children to adults, and especially for teens.

As this is the first book in the Harry Potter Series, there is no need to feel sad after finishing this wonderful book. You can just continue the story in the next one.
