A Practical Guide for the Boyfriend by Felicity Huffman and Patricia Wolf

Imagine that it’s the mid- to late-2000s, and you’re a... less than ideal boyfriend. You never take out the trash, you never listen, and you’re just *ugh.* What might your loving GF get you as a last ditch effort to show you the way? A Practical Guide for the Boyfriend, of course.

This book, written by Felicity Huffman and Patricia Wolff, is a treasure trove of (mostly) useful information about being a good better half, ranging from navigating that secret girl language to proper date etiquette. While some of the advice contained within dates the book significantly, the details it holds are invaluable to both first timers and experienced players of the game of love. In addition, the writers’ easy go attitude within the pages makes it a fun read even for those who might not necessarily need the advice. Overall, this book is an exciting and humorous how-to guide, and despite its somewhat girly allure, I would highly recommend it.
