Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare

It has been 5 years since the dark war and the creation of the cold peace, banning faeries from interacting with shadowhunters or the mundane world. Julian Blackthorn and Emma Carstairs, now parabatai, spend their days looking after the Blackthorn children; Ty, Livvy, Dru, and Tavvy, while training and fighting demons like every other shadowhunter their age. Everything is as it usually is, until dead mundanes start appearing at ley line convergences with strange causes of death. It's not completely out of the blue for a mundane to drown in L.A. with all of the beaches, however it is strange when a drowning victim is found in an alleyway miles from the beach, with their fingerprints removed and one hand missing altogether. Will the Blackthorns figure out what's terrorizing thier home of L.A.?

In the first book in the latest series of the shadowhunter saga, we get to see more of our favorite characters from The Mortal Instruments, and The Infernal Devices, with new characters you will undoubtedly fall in love with.
