Malcolm Fade is dead, but unfortunately their grievances are just beginning. The centurions from the scholomance have been sent to search and retrieve the warlocks body, which means the Blackthorns have to host a bunch of bigoted, spoiled, entitled brats at the L.A. institute, while hiding all of their family quirks, for fear of an investigation on them. If the clave ever found out that Julian and Emma were in love despite their parabatai bond, or the fact that Julian has been running the institute and looking after his family since he was 12, or Ty’s autism, or uncle Arthur's PTSD, the clave would take away the institute, the Blackthorns would be split up even more, their marks could be stripped, or worse. Julian is already overwhelmed, but then the icing on the cake, an illegal faerie needing sudden rescuing. Perfect.
Find out what happens to the Blackthorn family and their new friends in this next installation in the shadowhunter saga.
