Princess Eadlyn is the daughter of Queen America, the woman who won the Selection years before. Now Eadlyn is forced to participate in a Selection of her own, except this time 35 suitors will compete for her hand. Eadlyn has always believed she would rule alone forever, but is it possible she could find true love in this Selection?
This read takes an all-new spin on the original Selection story, from the point of view of another strong Singer girl. Eadlyn, although an unlikeable protagonist at first, is a very strongly written role with more layers than she seems to have. The story takes place in the familiar dystopian setting of Illéa, which is as lovable as ever and has a host of 35 suitors with wonderful personalities that will have you rooting for them in each chapter. The Heir is a strong competitor to the first Selection book in terms of writing and characters!
