Eadlyn, although an unlikeable protagonist at first, is a very strongly written role with more layers than she seems to have. The story takes place in the familiar dystopian setting of Illéa, which is as lovable as ever and has a host of 35 suitors with wonderful personalities that will have you rooting for them in each chapter. The Heir is a strong competitor to the first Selection book in terms of writing and characters!
