Apollo is continuing his journey to free all of the oracles which have been enslaved by the triumvirate. This time he is fighting to free the oracle of Delphi from the clutches of the emperor Commodus. As if this wasn't enough work already, California is burning. With climate change becoming more severe by the year this isn't typically out of the normal, except for the fact that the California fires are coming from underground . Will Apollo be able to release the oracle and save California's dryads with the help of his friends? Or will he end up being victim to The Burning Maze?

In The Burning Maze we get the chance to see Apollo reflect on, and live the consequences of his past actions. We also get the return of some Heroes of Olympus favorites.
