Challenger Deep by Neil Shusterman

I have to get home. Someone’s trying to kill me.

Don't slack off on the ship.

Or maybe someone’s following me.

The captain may only have one eye, but he's always watching you.

Or maybe they're going to burn down the house.

You can't trust anyone on the ship. Not the Captain,

I have to get home and save my family from the fire.

Not the Navigator,

Or is that a trap?

Not the Parrot,

Is my family actually the ones trying to kill me? I can't go home now.

I can't trust anyone.

Challenger Deep is a very real depiction of psychosis and schizoaffective disorder. Because this book is written from the perspective of someone with both disorders, anyone who has experienced mental illness can relate to it.
