Five Feet Apart by Rachael Lippincott

Stella has Cystic Fibrosis and has been in and out of her small town's hospital since she was six years old. She knows all the ins and outs of her illness, how to treat it, why Cystic Fibrosis patients MUST stay six feet apart, and even embraces her low life expectancy as simply another side effect. Will also has Cystic Fibrosis, but in spite of it he is reckless and rebellious as his mother sends him to treatment facilities all over the world in search of a cure. However, the latest of these many hospitals just so happens to be Stella's hospital.

Five Feet Apart brings much needed awareness to Cystic Fibrosis, a chronic illness which affects over 70,000 people worldwide. It's a story about an unlikely pair who fall in love, despite never being able to come within six feet of each other, reminding us true love is much more than physical.
