Tweak: Growing up on Methamphetamines by Nic Sheff

The first time Nic got drunk he was 11. By the time he was in his mid-teens he was smoking pot and doing cocaine and ecstasy, and would become addicted to heroin and meth. Nic lived on the streets, begged for money, stole, even prostituted himself to pay for his addiction. He was admitted to several detox and rehab facilities all across the US, but nothing worked for years until he learned he couldn't rely on others to save him. He had to save himself.

Nic Sheff is brutally honest and holds nothing back as he recalls what he can remember of his experience as an addict. He tells his story as an example of how addiction takes over and destroys your life, and he urges those who read his story to get help sooner than later.
