The Titan’s Curse is the third instalment in the Percy Jackson series. This time around, Percy‘s quest is a personal one- he must save Annabeth, who has been captured by a particular Titan, and he must do this quest alongside the Hunters of Artemis, who also have someone to save.
The Titan’s Curse delivers an exciting storyline different from what we’ve seen in the last two books in the series. Percy goes through this quest not with Annabeth, but for Annabeth. I really like this change, because it helps to flesh out some of Percy’s more “hidden” personalities and the personalities of some new characters.
I recommend this book, or rather this series, to all teenagers who have a knack for a good adventure story, with the prerequisite of having read the previous two books in the series, the Lightning Thief and the Sea of Monsters.
For more fantasy adventure series, I would recommend the Kane Chronicles and Magnus Chase series (both series from Rick Riordan, and there are no books you need to read beforehand). The Harry Potter series is another must-read fantasy.
