Percy Jackson’s Greek Gods relays the story of the gods, comprising all 12 Olympians and more. It tells of the period preceding the era of Olympus, then the leading into of the era of Olympus, and finally, the different tales of the different Olympians and other major gods.
Told from Percy Jackson’s first person perspective, reading this book was a blast and I never would’ve thought that reading a mythology book would be this much fun when told from the words of Percy Jackson. This book is hilarious because of how Percy relays the craziness of the stories of the gods to the mortal world, AKA the readers.
I recommend this book to all teenagers who may even be a little bit interested in mythology, because this book makes the mythology of the Greek Gods very easy to digest and understand. For those who have read the Percy Jackson series and want more of Percy Jackson’s narration, this book is it.
Percy Jackson’s Greek Heroes, also by Rick Riordan, is basically the next part to this book, and if you enjoyed reading about the Greek Gods, then you’ll also enjoy the Greek Heroes. I also recommend reading more of Rick Riordan’s works, such as the Heroes of Olympus series.
