Countdown is something you have already seen before. It has similar scares to other horror movies, dorky horror movie acting and is nothing that is overly outstanding to watch. The movie doesn't give anything horror fans haven't already seen. It does have an intriguing idea and some good jump scares but that's really the only thing going for it. It will keep you entertained to see what happens in the end but you will likely cringe throughout the movie. Elizabeth Lail portrays the main character and does a fairly good performance as someone who is trying to fight for their life. Talitha Eliana Bateman does a great job as well considering she hasn't done a horror movie before. However, everyone else in the film has cringe worthy performances. If you are looking for a scary movie to watch on a Friday Night on the couch that has good jump scares this movie will fit the bill but don't expect anything more.
