When you’re invited to a crazy, reality show style destination wedding, you can’t really say no. So began Addie’s sudden trip to Ireland. Beautiful, rugged and dramatic, Ireland’s landscape perfectly summed up Addie’s life at the moment. Her only hope was that Ireland would help her broken heart heal. Though she only wants to forget about her past mistakes, her older brother Ian won’t let it go until she comes clean to her parents, which is something she’s not quite sure she can do.
When Addie’s travel plans suddenly change and she misses her flight to Italy to go see her best friend Lina, Addis’s trip becomes a lot more confusing.
First off, apparently her brother is a music blogger? Secondly, he has an online friend named Rowan? And third, he was never going to Italy, but instead planned a trip to a giant music festival with a person he’d never met before? Check, check and check. On top of all that, he expected Addie to keep it all a secret.
Well, there was no way she could do that, not unless she could go along for the ride.
Join Addie, Ian and Rowan on their insane road trip across one of the most beautiful places on Earth in Love & Luck.
This is by far one of my favourite books ever. I’ve read it multiple times, and can never seem to get enough. Jenna Evans Welch has always managed to immerse me in a vibrant, foreign place I’ve never been to, but still make it seem like home. I’ve always lived for travelling, so her books always speak to me and the places I want to go.
Full of adventure, humour and friendship, this book will make you feel like you yourself took a trip to Ireland. It’s an absolute must read!
If you enjoyed Love & Luck, I would suggest looking into other authors such as Becky Albertelli, Morgan Matson or Katie Finn for similar reads.
