Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants by Ann Brashares

Lena, Tibby, Bridget, and Carmen have been friends for as long as they can remember. Inseparable since birth, the girls share a bond so deep it seems unbreakable. They are so inseparable in fact, that though they are all different, one day they stumble upon a pair of jeans that somehow miraculously fit them all. As they enter one of their very first summers spent apart, they take the jeans as a sign that their friendship can withstand anything. With everyone boarding planes and heading far and wide to follow their dreams, the traveling pants allow them to stay connected and feel each other's love even when they are not together.

Prepare to dive into each of the girls' summer adventures and ride along with the pants as they aim to close the gaps between them.

A novel that I'm sure you've heard of before; The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants is certainly well-known for a reason. A storyline that moves smoothly, multiple different adventures intertwining together seamlessly and four strong, kind young women learning their place in the world make this novel a heartwarming must-read. Ann Brashares manages to portray how the strength of friendship has the power to overcome anything through her characters relationships with one another, and how they are at their best when they have each other's love and support. Instantly relatable, realistic, and funny, this sweet story is not one to be missed.

Being that this is a series, I would recommend continuing on with it if you enjoyed the first installment or looking into some of Ann Brashares' other stories. Some other novels you may enjoy include Wanderlost by Jen Malone, Twenties Girl by Sophie Kinsella and To All the Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han.
