Kingdom of the Wicked by Kerri Maniscalco

This book was finally the boost and my exit card for my reading slump. This book is a fast-paced, fantasy action romance with a bunch of plot twists and cliff hangers. The characters and how they are embellished in this story are quite fantastic. I love the separate character development and how each character is produced and developed even though there was only one POV in the story.

This story is about how there are the Princes of Hell and how they each represent a sin such as Wrath. The main character is Emilia, who is a witch. A sudden death of a close relative makes Emilia determined to go on a long journey to try to uncover this murderer. She soon realizes that it is more difficult than she thought, as the Devil and conjured spirits lurking around her town are killing many other witches like her.

Overall this book was for sure one of the most well-written books I’ve read, not my favorite but one that could be read again and enjoyed! If you like this book and are reading it quickly, the second book is now available.
