Aza Holmes is searching for a missing billionaire with the promise of an expensive cash reward while navigating daily life within a downward spiral of her intrusive thoughts.
Turtles All The Way Down is one of the only contemporary novels that have made me cry. And when I say cry, I mean the ugliest sobbing imaginable. Aza's story is very unique to make Young Adult heroines, and I absolutely adore her story. I went into this expecting more of a mystery, but truly it is a story of a young girl battling her own thoughts and her spiraling mental health. Aza's character development throughout the story is unlike anything I've ever read. The conclusion is satisfying but realistic, which makes for an even more enjoyable experience. John Green's writing is phenomenal, and I'm glad this was the first book of his that I picked out. Turtles All The Way Down is a story that anyone could enjoy, and I strongly advise that everyone read it.
