Life and Death: Twilight Reimagined by Stephenie Meyer

Young Adult, Vampire, Romance Novel

Life and Death is the tenth anniversary edition of the beloved Twilight series written by Stephenie Meyer. Mirroring the plot of the iconic young-adult vampire romance, the novel follows Beaufort Swan as he leaves the sunny city of Phoenix and departs to dreary Forks, Washington as he works to rekindle his relationship with his estranged father, Charlie Swan. As he struggles to make friends, Edythe Cullen catches his eye and soon the strange Cullen family becomes his new group of friends. The two make a strange combination. However, Edythe has a haunting secret. How will this put Beau and those he loves in danger? Will their love story turn out different from that of Bella Swan and Edward Cullen?

Revisiting Forks in a different light with similar characters and a shocking twist, this gender-bending interpretation is a fun adaptation of the Twilight series and makes you wonder what could have been between Bella and Edward…

Before reading Life and Death, make sure to check out the original rendition of Beau and Edythe’s love story with the Twilight series involving Bella Swan and Edward Cullen. The vampire romance novels are beloved by many and are certainly a series to consider exploring as well as the highly publicized Twilight film adaptations starring Kristen Stewart as Bella Swan, Robert Pattinson as Edward, and Taylor Lautner as Jacob Black.
