Bone Crier's Moon by Kathryn Purdie

This was a book that involved so many genres which made it so special and unique.

I loved the character development and also plot twists and plot build up. The characters were so empowering in this book and I loved how all of the characters had some sense of relation with one another even if they never talked much with each other or had any scenes together. This book was a fantasy, romance, and action-adventure yet with some sense of thrilling events. I don’t even know how to describe what genre this was (in a good way). The themes reminded me of Serpent and Dove, but the actions reminded me of Daughter of the Pirate King along with tension similar to Kingdom of the Wicked

The themes in this story involved friendship, the action of unity against evil, and a love against hate relationship. It is also an enemies-to-lovers with the trope of how they are enemies already and that they have to kill each other but, plot twist, end up liking one another for their stubbornness and personality.

This book was an amazing read, although I didn’t give it a 5 as I had other books that I loved more. I haven’t read the sequel yet, so I’m not sure if this book had theme relevance and character relationships that are continued into the second book with a continuation of some unfinished plots.
