Fiction book
Demigods and Magicians combines the Greek with the Egyptian world, bringing together Percy and Annabeth (Greek demigods) and Carter and Sadie Kane (Egyptian magicians). They must unite their powers to defeat an evil force that threatens the safety of both their worlds.
I appreciate the author’s ability to seamlessly integrate these drastically different realms: Egyptian and Greek. The story exploits the uniqueness of these two different worlds to weave a truly magical story. Along with this well-done integration, we get to see some beloved returning characters.
I recommend this book to all teenagers who would enjoy a good fantasy/adventure story, but with the prerequisite of having either read the Kane Chronicles or the Percy Jackson and Heroes of Olympus series, preferably all three series.
For more related books, I would recommend Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard series, as well as the Kane Chronicles and Percy Jackson/Heroes of Olympus series if you haven’t already read them all. Be sure to check out more of Rick Riordan’s works!
