Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone is an exciting fantasy book written by J.K. Rowling. Harry Potter is surprised one day by a giant who claims to have known his parents, who are dead. He discovers that his parents were wizards and he follows their footsteps attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Harry must learn to use magic responsibly as well as face his fears. He grows with his friends and fights with his bullies. Harry strives to uncover the mysteries of his parents’ death, and when he does, he is filled with rage. This is a very exciting, action-filled novel, with many twists and turns and it is the first book out of a seven book series. I recommend this book for anyone who is ages 10 and up. I will rate this must-read book 5/5 stars.
