Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax is an animation movie inspired by the book The Lorax written by Dr. Seuss. It explores a world where there are no trees and no wildlife in this futuristic community called Thneedville. The main character, Ted, wishes to have a tree and dives into the story of how the Once-ler caused the extinction of all trees and wildlife. He learns that the Once-ler was overpowered by greed and cut down every tree for profit with no care for the environment. This ultimately caused the decimation of biodiversity. This can be linked to our current world with climate change and severe deforestation. It puts a light on problems we face today in a way that all age groups can learn. Overall this is a great movie because of its metaphoric meaning and anyone who is able to should watch it. It deserves a 5/5 star rating.
