It Ends with Us by Collen Hoover is a romance novel following Lily Bloom, a woman living in Boston. One night she meets a man named Ryle on a rooftop. They are immediately drawn to each other but they part ways and don't plan on ever seeing each other again. When they bump into each other six months later, they decide to explore a relationship together. At the same time, Lily begins to read journals from her 15-year-old self which contain the details of her first relationship with Atlas Corrigan. Things get more complicated when Atlas appears in Lily’s life again and threatens everything she has built with Ryle.
This is one of my favourite books. It takes you on a rollercoaster of emotions and will make you never want to put the book down. I developed a connection with the characters almost immediately and I was hooked on them and the story from beginning to end. The plot moved along so quickly, that I read the entire book in one sitting.
I would recommend this book to mature readers (14+), who love sad, romantic books. Overall, this book was absolutely amazing and was a quick read that kept me on the edge of my seat. As a warning, it also had some sexual assault and abuse content. If you liked this book, I would recommend Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover and The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid.
