This modern retelling of Pride and Prejudice gives a new perspective to the classic tale.

Rewritten, 3rd wave feminist counterparts of the classic characters take us on a journey of self-discovery, as the girls face adversity. With their father's illness and household financial issues, the girls are forced to pitch in to help their family. During these struggles, the girls branch off to start their own Romantic relationships and families.
Unlike the original, this one touches on more recently relevant issues including LGBTQ struggles, artificial insemination, and the effects of microaggressions.

I would recommend you read this book after you read the original Pride and Prejudice as I think it’s still very important to read the classic version, and would give good context for this version.
