Jonas lives in a world where sameness is everything. There is no war, discrimination, or grief, but this also means there is no happiness, colour, or sunshine. Jonas is preparing to receive his assignment along with all of his peers; little does he know, he will not receive any ordinary assignment, he will be assigned the most important and least-known role in his community.
This book is incredibly detailed and eye-opening; the writing style is very fitting and leaves lots to the imagination. The Giver is perfect for people who enjoy reading short books with a deep plot filled with discovery, unanswered questions, and characters you get to know well as the story continues.
