Written by the author of the widely known Harry Potter series, this short book containing 5 stories brings a wizardly spin to fairy tales while still retaining lessons for the reader to learn. The first story teaches about kindness, the second about teamwork, the third about love, the fourth about discrimination, and the fifth about the dangers of trusting strangers.
I really enjoyed making connections between the stories in this book to the fairy tales I would read as a child. My favorite tales in this book would have to be “The Fountain Of Fair Fortune” because I enjoy happy endings, and “The Wizard and the Hopping Pot” because it reminds me of the book Strega Nona by Tomie de Paola. I think this book would make a great read for anyone as it teaches life lessons just like the fairy tales we all know and love
