The Girl from the Sea by Molly Ostertag and Maarta Laiho

Morgan Kwan is a girl who dreams of living a life where she can be herself. She dreads the thought of having to come out to her friends and family as a lesbian. One night on a walk, Morgan falls from the rocks near her house into the ocean, almost drowning, until she is saved by a selkie named Keltie. The next day, Morgan finds Keltie and thanks her for saving her life, a gesture which soon sends them through a journey of Morgan's ancestry, sexuality and the future of sea life in the ocean.
