Tahereh Mafi’s Shatter Me is a dystopian thriller novel. This book is a great story for anyone who is a fan of darker dystopian books. It starts out fairly dark as Juliette is locked up alone in an asylum and is tortured by the fact that she can not touch people. As the book goes on and she is taken to a Reestablishment compound it is really interesting to read about how these compounds have lots of luxuries even though the rest of the world is suffering. If you like reading political books such as Animal Farm but with more interesting magic and romance this is the book for you.
