"The air tasted just the same, smelled just the same. Like it had been waiting for me to get there"
Isabel "Belly" Conklin has been going to Susannah's beach house in Cousins Beach ever since she was born. But the second she arrives at the beach house she notices something is different. Susannah’s sons, Conrad and Jeremiah, whom she has grown up seeing every summer, seem to be treating her differently this year. They look at her like she’s not just a kid anymore, but so do other boys. Will she give Susannah's boys a chance at love and finally date her childhood crush Conrad or his brother Jeremiah, or will she surprise herself and date someone else to forget about the brothers? Belly knows this is the summer when everything changes but she does not know if it will change for the better or the worse.
The Summer I Turned Pretty is yet another phenomenal book written by Jenny Han. When I read the To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before series I just knew I had to read this book and I am glad that I did. This book had me feeling like I was reading by the beach on a warm summer’s day. It has the best summer vibes and is a perfect read for any teen fiction and romance lovers. If you enjoyed this book and are looking for others similar to it, I highly recommend that you read the To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before series by Jenny Han.
