“Remember: Pants = love. Love your pals. Love yourself.”
Lena, Carmen, Bridget and Tibby have been best friends since they were born. They always spent their summers together except for this year, their first summer apart. Bridget is off at soccer camp in Mexico, Lena is visiting family in Greece, Carmen is going to Carolina to spend the summer with her dad and Tibby is staying at home working at Wallman’s, a superstore. So when they find a pair of Carmen’s pants that fit all four friends they decide to share the magical travelling pants throughout the summer, sending and taking turns with the pants before passing them off.
The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants is Ann Brashares first novel in the Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants series. This book is about friendships, loyalty, love and a pair of pants. I enjoyed this book. The characters were interesting and you really got to know each of them and their personality as they grew. The plot was well paced, not too slow or too fast. Overall I thought this was a great read and would be perfect for anyone who likes reading books on friendships, fiction and romance, or someone who wants to try something new.
