Super Mario Maker is a two dimensional, single-player, side-scrolling platformer on the WII U system. Originally released in 2015, Super Mario Maker lets you create your very own Mario levels. If you also have an internet connection, you're able to play levels created by other users worldwide. 

To create levels, the game gives you a myriad of blocks, power-ups, and enemies to choose from. You can design your level to be based around the graphics of the original Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario World and New Super Mario Bros. U. 

There is also a multitude of biomes as the setting for your level. Many examples would be underground, underwater, Bowser's Castle etc. On some occasions, the items the player uses change depending on the biome. The user can also choose sound effects to play during your level at certain moments. You can save your levels to your system and upload them online if you wish.

I enjoyed the aspect of creativity that is involved in producing levels. Another element I enjoyed was the online feature of playing other people's levels.
