Dark Souls Remastered [Video Game]

Dark Souls Remastered is the remastered version of Dark Souls, a game renowned for its difficulty and steep learning curve. Dark Souls is a third person action role-playing game where you play as a fully customizable character known as the Chosen Undead with the ability to use melee weapons like a sword or axe, ranged weapons like a bow or crossbow, or all the way to magical incantations and holy blessings to face various challenging bosses. The game takes place in a dark medieval age setting where you must "Reignite the first flame" by traveling to different environment and facing more challenging new bosses to harvest their "souls" to become more powerful.

The gameplay was challenging yet engaging. with controls that are easy to learn but difficult to master.  You are expected to die, a lot. From these deaths you are able to learn and adapt to the enemies and the environment in a single player setting however there are chances that others playing will be able to help join you to fight bosses or clear areas. Not everyone is friendly though, and some may invade your world to try and defeat you, luring you into traps fighting alongside the denizens of the world or challenging you to a fair duel. The game has something for most types of players. With little guiding from the game itself, you are expected to explore new areas or talk to certain non-playable characters (NPCs) who will help guide you along your quest or ask help from the in-game message system.  For veteran players the game has massive replayability value to do multiple different types of characters with an autosave feature for the less skilled players that will save their progress even if they quit the game mid-session.

The game was incredibly challenging and engaging with an interesting story and setting. The graphics are darker to help enforce the setting.  Any gamer looking for a challenge should look for Dark Souls.
