Floored is a YA contemporary novel about a group of six teenagers who find themselves stuck in an elevator together. Each character has their own difficulties and secrets and comes from a different background. They start to open up to one another and develop unexpected friendships as they wait to be rescued. The novel explores how their lives overlap and affect one another while also following each character's own story.
Although the writing is good and the subject is interesting, the sheer number of characters makes it difficult to fully invest in their individual storylines. The characters do make some unexpected discoveries and engage in surprising confrontations, even though the plot is somewhat predictable and lacks drama. Overall, "Floored" is a good contribution to the YA category but not particularly noteworthy in my opinion.
