No One Returns From The Enchanted Forest by Robin Robinson

In a small town under the ground of Teacup Island lives a small goblin named Bix and her little sister Pella. They live a pretty simple life, and while that’s enough for worrywart Bix, Pella finds herself bored all the time, and longs to do something new. One day, the townspeople have a meeting regarding the drastic increase in earthquakes as of late, and because of this, they decide to cancel the Midsummer Festival. Enraged, Pella decides to leave the town to enter the Enchanted Forest behind her sister’s back, and once discovering such, Bix is forced to follow her so she doesn't get hurt.

This beautifully crafted, otherworldly adventure will surely become one of your favourites, with its simple, yet charming art style, and its dynamic setting. This story is quite the page-turner! I would know, I read the entire book on a car ride, and loved every minute of it! Every character feels full of life, and with each of their personal struggles, the reader falls more in love with all of them. It also teaches its audience how much selfishness affects those in the vicinity, a good life lesson. If you like mystery and adventure, you’ll adore this graphic novel.

If this book tickled your fancy, I would also suggest "Unfamiliar", a graphic novel by Haley Newsome or "Skyward", a novel and series by Brandon Sanderson, both of which feature adventure, and the discovery of something new.
