“I read you like you were my favourite book, Rosie. Like I’ve memorised you.”
Rosie Graham is having a bit of a rough patch. Well, more than a bit. She quit her very well paid job to pursue her secret career as a romance writer and now has writer's block, the ceiling of her apartment has caved in, she has to move into her best friends for the time being, and her best friend is away so her super hot cousin is sharing the apartment with her. She’d never actually met, Lucas but had been stalking him on instagram for months and can’t believe that he’s now living with her, but this is the perfect opportunity to fix her writer's block. Lucas agrees to take her on fake dates to get her creative wheels turning again but how can she not fall for him like this. He’s tall and muscular, and has such a cute accent, oh and he’s an amazing cook. Will this end horribly, ruining her relationship with her best friend, or is this finally her chance to live her own romance novel?
The American Roommate Experiment is a cute and light romance novel to read. Lucas is a swoon worthy male lead and you’ll easily fall in love with him. This is a dual perspective book so its fun to see both Lucas and Rosie's point of view as they fall in love. If your a fan of the forced proximity and fake dating tropes, this is definitely the book for you.
