The successor to Breath of the Wild, an amazing single-player open-world adventure that puts freedom in the player’s hands. The story follows Link on his journey to restore peace to the kingdom of Hyrule.
This single-player game features an amazingly big world to explore and introduces some of the most interesting mechanics I’ve personally experienced within a video game. This game truly puts freedom in the player’s hands, and with the boundless and complex game mechanics featured in this sequel, it’s an all-around improvement to the last game, which was already an amazing masterpiece of a game in my opinion. Similarly to when Zelda: BOTW came out, Tears of The Kingdom quickly became one of my favorite games of all time, delivering a truly unforgettable experience; however, there are glaring system limitations for the Nintendo Switch, which make themselves clearly apparent when playing this game. The graphics are held back, and the game’s performance is limited to 30 fps, while still suffering from frame rate drops. Even with these glaring issues, TOTK still shines brightly as one of the most innovative and genre-defining games, and as an E-rated game, can be fun for people of any age.
I strongly urge those who own a Nintendo Switch and haven’t already played this game to play it as soon as they can. An absolute must-play for anyone even remotely interested.
