Beach Read by Emily Henry

“He fit so perfectly in the love story I'd imagined for myself that I mistook him for the love of my life.”

Augustus and January are polar opposite. Augustus writes literary fiction where no one will ever have a truly happy ending and January writes swoon worthy romance novels that always have perfect ending. The only things they have in common is that for the rest of the summer they’ll be next door neighbours in a tiny lake town and that they both have writer's block. They decide that the best way to beat writer's block is to challenge each other to write each other's books. They take each other on field trips to inspire their books. Augustus must go on carnival dates and long romantic walks on the beach and January must interview survivors of a death cult. Everyone will write a book and unlike in January’s usual novels, no one will fall in love.

Beach Read is a cute and fun romance novel that all fans of romance will love. January and Augustus are polar opposites.  Augustus is a very dark serious writer, where January is happy, go lucky and sees the best in everything. Their contrast makes this such a fun book to read. They both grow as people and face things from their past together. It’s a very sweet book and definitely worth the read.
