The Rogue Wave by Paul Nicholas Mason

Andrew is the main character of The Rogue Wave, who gets caught up in a natural disaster.

Andrew was on a whale watching boat with his fiancée, Hannah. While they were having a happy time, a sudden big wave hit the boat they were on and drowned dozens of people.
Fortunately, 38 people were saved by coast guards, including Andrew, but his fiancée Hannah was not one of them and she is subsequently presumed to have drowned. Meanwhile Andrew felt sorrow about her death.  After a few weeks, his friend sent him a wedding video link that is taken in Southern Mexico. In the video, there is Hannah, sitting next to a man that his friends and Andrew don’t recognize. There was no time to give way to sorrow, as Andrew hires a detective, Matthew Harding. At the end of relentless pursuit, the story takes us from Toronto to New Brunswick to Mexico and to the UK and finally, all of the clues brings Andrew and Matthew to Peterborough, Ontario and  as he gets close to the end of the story.
