Phryne Fisher is a resourceful and independent woman, and the main character of Raisins and Almonds. She loves dancing with her gorgeous young partner Siman Abrahams.
Phryne’s father asks her takes part in a young Jewish man's mysterious death investigation, clearing the name of the accused woman and tracking down the true murderer. Along the way, she accepts a young, slightly naive Jewish man as her lover and learns quite a bit about Zionism.
Raisins and Almonds is short fiction that is also made into the tv show. It is interesting mysterious genre to read and you can watch it on Netflix.
