Better Than The Movies by Lynn Painter

Better than the movies is a sweet, light, romance written by Lynn Painter. This book was such a cute read, perfect for anyone looking for a light, easy to read romance. This book follows Liz Buxbaum, who fell for Michael a long time ago. But she never got to see him before he moved away. Since he is back in town, Liz will stop at no cost to get him to notice her, and maybe get him as her prom date. To do that, she will have to befriend her annoying neighbor Wes Bennet. Liz and Wes have been enemies since they were kids, with pranks involving frogs and lawn gnomes. But when they begin scheming to get closer to Michael, Wes and Liz end up getting closer instead. Liz is shocked as she discovers she likes hanging around with Wes, she might even end up reevaluating what she thought she knew about love.

The characters in this book fit perfectly with each other and I love their friendships. Wes and Liz’s friendship is adorable and so cute to read about. They learn a lot about themselves the more they hang out together. Liz gets to know that her true self is her best self and that she shouldn't hide it. Liz is adorable and relatable, which was great and all the characters are so lovable. This book was very cute, easy to read and had a sweet, fun, romance. This book never dragged on or got boring, there was always something happening that kept you hooked. Lynn Painter really knows how to write this type of book well. I would definitely recommend this book to everyone in search for a light, airy romance!
