After Evangeline's first promised kiss, she learns that bargaining with an immortal is a deadly game and that Jacks wants more from her than she initially bargained. He has huge plans for Evangeline, plans that could either end in a happily ever after or a great tragedy. Evangeline wants what a lot of young girls want, a happily ever after, which may be harder to find than she thought.

Evangeline is such a cool character, and despite being just a fictional character, she's relatable in a unique way. All of the characters in this book are unique and add so much to the wonderfully crafted world. Evangeline, like all of us, makes mistakes, but maybe her mistakes will lead to a greater victory. I thought this book was amazing. This series is one of my favorites. From the unique world to beautifully written characters, this book will amaze you in all the ways possible. This book is very fast paced, never got boring, and always kept you wanting more. It was a very addcting book that I found very hard to put down. Stephanie Garber really knows how to make an amazing book that will leave you looking for more.
