I promise you, you have never read a book like The Leaving. This book is not the kind of book where it slowly eases you into the story line, in fact it's the exact opposite. You are thrown into a confusing, scary, and mysterious storyline full of cliff hangers and unpredictable twists that will leave you stunned for words. Aterbradando writes in a unique way that defies all the rules of writing in straight lines making you not only turn your book upside down, but also help you to understand the way the characters feel and think. In the beginning of the book, I was definitely a little confused and I often had to re-read paragraphs to understand what was happening just because of the complex storyline. The Leaving is a book like no other and I'll never forget its unique and suspenseful storyline and jaw dropping ending. If you like this book another similar mystery I really enjoyed was One of Us Is Lying.
