"Watch Dogs: Legion" is set in a near-future London controlled by an oppressive surveillance state. After a series of devastating attacks, the city is in chaos, and the hacker group DedSec is blamed. Players must recruit and control various characters from the populace to fight back against the corrupt government and criminal organizations, uncovering a conspiracy along the way. The game's narrative explores themes of technology, freedom, and resistance as players work to liberate London from tyranny.

It’s an action-adventure game with an open-world setting. You explore the city of London freely while completing various missions and objectives. The game features both single-player and multiplayer modes, offering players the choice to experience the story campaign solo or team up with friends for cooperative missions and competitive multiplayer activities.

I played the “Watch Dogs 2” that came before “Watch Dogs Legion” and loved that game. It was the reason for starting this game. In the first and second game you follow one character throughout the story, but in “Watch Dogs Legion,” you play as random civilians around London. This made me feel detached from the story compared to the previous entries. The graphics are unbelievably realistic. The map of London is surprisingly faithful and detailed while adding a futuristic twist. The world itself makes you feel immersed and is the best part of the game. Especially with how realistic the sound design is.

For the gameplay, this game feels like it improves in the shooting and driving mechanics. I also like the improvement in hacking and more drones to use in your arsenal depending on the character you have. The controls are easy to grasp. The game can be completed in 18 hours or more. The game saves automatically when playing, but there are no manual saves. This is because the game includes permadeath. There are difficulty levels you can choose from easy to hard. There’s also permadeath where if the character you are playing as dies, then you can longer play that character.

The map made me very confused compared to other games. You had to explore the world to be able to use the map, which I was fine with, but I didn’t like the way screen is positioned when viewing the map of London because I found it hard to get a good view of the place I was infiltrating and on locating points of interest I wanted to explore.

Overall, in my opinion, this game was the worst entry in the Watch Dogs franchise. I would recommend you play the games that came before.
