“Everyone in My Family Has Killed Someone” is a gripping psychological thriller by Benjamin Stevenson that delves into the dark secrets of a dysfunctional family at a snowed-in resort. The story is told from the perspective of the main protagonist who attempts to uncover the history of each member in relation to a gruesome murder. As he gets closer to the truth, David must confront his own demons to uncover the buried truth.
This is not your typical murder-mystery novel. The protagonist is an uncertain, clumsy author trying to write a novel. He is an incredibly reliable narrator who goes on a journey with the reader to solve the murder together. I found it an unusually funny and comfortable book for a thriller. While it was a bit more slow-paced at the beginning, I still had so much fun reading this book as it was so unique and is definitely a page-turner!
