“The Unmaking of June Farrow” by Adrienne Young is an ethereal science fiction novel about a woman, June Farrow, trying to solve her family’s century old curse. After her mother’s disappearance, which happens to every matriarch of the Farrow Family, June begins to spiral, afraid she’s going crazy like her mother. She begins to hear voices calling her name and see figures and a door that are not real. Losing her grandmother because of the same symptoms she’s experiencing is the final straw. To confront her demons and end the curse, June opens the mysterious door and embarks on a time-bending journey that will challenge her every belief.
