Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Deep End

Diary of a Wimpy Kid is an iconic collection of books. This book, The Deep End, lives up to its name as the last book ever in this collection made by Jeff Kinney. It’s narrated from the perspective of Greg, the main character. The book is designed and told as if it’s Greg’s journal. It’s really interesting how the book itself acts like a personal journal, since there are so many in-depth embarrassing moments with funny cartoon characters to go along with it. Greg and his family all try to go on a family vacation, but it goes wrong in every way one can imagine. From long-lasting arguments to being sprayed by a skunk, this book depicts all the ways something can go wrong. Fortunately, it does have a bit of a happy ending. The book is very humorous and very interesting. However, sometimes the book gets too caught up in the irrelevant details. Also, there are no chapters that can guide you along, but I forgive that since this is meant to be a diary. Overall, I really enjoyed this book. If you are looking for books that will give you a laugh and make your day, this book is for you.
