A Lobster Tale is a PG-14 movie that follows the story of Cody, a lobsterman. Times are tough for Cody, as he is struggling with money to support not only himself but his wife and son. One day, as he goes out for lobster, an oddly coloured piece of moss gets caught in his lobster trap. He kept it in a can on his boat, but what he didn’t know was what the moss could do. The moss becomes the talk of the town, and everyone wants a piece of it. Cody, however, keeps it to himself, hopeful that a special time for use would come along. This movie is a slower movie, which is okay, as the pace fits the story. It didn’t feel rushed, and it showed how Cody’s family, despite the moss becoming a big part of their life, still valued the more important things, like family and relationships. Overall, this movie wasn’t the most event-packed. I would still recommend it to people who like fantasy stories, as the moss makes the movie a lot more entertaining. A Lobster Tale lacked an ending, however, making it feel as if the movie was cut short.
