In this compelling memoir, famous pop star Britney Spears tells the story of her journey from childhood to fame and the struggle of fighting for her own freedom. Britney describes her love and passion for music, as well as the many brutal challenges she faced throughout her life. The Woman In Me was a great read. It was really intriguing and eye-opening to hear the story behind such a well-known celebrity. It makes listening to her music so much more interesting! The book was also very well written, the voice was very genuine and engaging. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who’s interested in memoirs, especially if you like reading about fame and overcoming hard times. If you enjoy this, and are looking for more child performer memoirs, I would suggest checking out I’m Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy and Beyond the Wand by Tom Felton.
