The Maze Runner is a PG-13 science fiction/action film that follows the story of Thomas, a 16-year-old who wakes up in the center of a giant labyrinth called the Glade with no recollection of who he is or what has happened. He then discovers that around fifty other boys live within the glade and sustain themselves by growing food and making tools. But he soon realizes that they are all stuck in the glade and cannot escape. He senses that there is something much bigger going on than any of them could have suspected. This is one of the main franchises that come to mind when you hear the genre dystopian, and for good reason. It is truly such an action-packed film that keeps you on your toes and completely immerses you in its world, while skillfully balancing mystery and suspense. Some incredible actors in the cast include Dylan O'Brien, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Kaya Scodelario, and Will Poulter, who did a phenomenal job bringing the characters to life. The film is based on the book series The Maze Runner.
