The Canadian Children’s Book Centre (CCBC) recently announced the finalists for eight major awards celebrating Canadian books for young readers! These are the top selections for young adult readers, with fiction and non-fiction.

Wondering what's involved in pursuing a career in the arts? The Juvenis Festival and KFPL have assembled a group of industry professionals to speak to Kingston and Fronteac youth about their diverse careers in various artistic fields. Each speaker will speak about their work and education, and a Q&A period will follow at the end. 

Looking for something good to read? At KFPL you can receive book recommendations from library staff via May We Suggest and from teenage volunteers via the Teen Review Board (TRB). The TRB is comprised of teens who love to read, watch movies, listen to music, and earn volunteer hours by reviewing library materials for KFPL’s website. This year we received more than 90 reviews from Kingston and Frontenac youth, and below are some of the highlights!
